Sun and Snow Expeditions / Andean Challenge is a Direct Tour Operator with great experience in organizing and operating adventure tours in Ecuador, as well as in the Peruvian and Bolivian Andes. We are legally registered and approved by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Tourism and have all the permissions required for the direct operation of adventure tours.

After traveling abroad: USA (Rocky Mountains), South America (Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina), Europe (Austria, Italy, France), we decided to gather our experience and knowledge dating back to the 1998, and start the company - Sun & Snow Expeditions, in the early 2004.

Our objective is to make of your trip an experience of a lifetime, with excellent service full of Ecuadorian pride and cheerfulness and a touch of western organization. We run all of our trips with a lot of success in all of our itineraries and outgoings. Our many repeat travelers and their excellent recommendations tell us that you will find our programs great value for your money.

We specialize in mountaineering in the fascinating Andean Cordillera, hiking and trekking through wonderful scenery and mountain biking in the most beautiful landscapes. Last but not least, we can arrange your journey to the exotic Amazon Jungle, the unforgettable Galapagos Islands, and to the colorful Andean countryside where the people and the landscape are part of our multi-faceted and multicultural ECUADOR.

Edgar Parra

Edgar has a great mountaineering experience of more than 10 years of climbing not only in Ecuador, but also in the Bolivian, Peruvian and Argentinean Andes, and the Italian, Swiss and Austrian Alps. Such experience allowed him to lead challenging routes and expeditions with much success.

His desire of personal growth and professional excellence has led him to be part of “Sun and Snow Expeditions/ Andean Challenge”, as the Director of the company.

Ekaterina Morales

Ekaty is one of the founders of “Sun and Snow”. Although not specialized in mountain guiding, she has repeatedly summited most Ecuadorian peaks and has also travelled and climbed outside of Ecuador (Peru, Bolivia, Europe). She can give a good advice on climbing, trekking and nature trips from the point of view of an experienced traveller. At “Sun and Snow” she focuses on the trip organization, trip leading and trip direction, as well as on the general management of the Company.
